CURATOR NOTES

Introducing the Chronoswiss Lunar Triple Date Moon phase CH9323. This piece features a leather strap with stainless steel Chronoswiss deployment buckle and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. There is a screw-down exhibition sapphire display case back, with correctors at 8 and 10 o'clock on the left side case band, and at 2 and 4 o'clock on the right side for adjusting the compete calendar functions. The 38mm diameter solid three-body case features integrated angled screwed lugs, and receded bezel. The dial is a black guilloche with painted white Breguet-style Arabic numeral hour markers, and an outer minute/seconds track with Arabic numerals on the quarter hours. It has white Breguet hands and a center sweep seconds hand. There is a moon phase subsidiary dial surrounded by a radial date at the 6 o'clock position, and there are two rectangular windows for the day and month at 12 o'clock. It's water-resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 11mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Chronoswiss Lunar Triple Date Moon phase CH9323 is powered by a Chronoswiss caliber 931 movement, which is based on the ETA 2892-A2 engine. It's constructed with 25 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and an 18K rose gold rotor.

This rare find has been well kept by its original owner. Every part of the watch lends itself to a piece that has seen more time in its box than on a wrist. The watch case is still in its protective plastic casket as it comes originally from the factory.
