1968 Heritage Diver’s GMT. Seiko Prospex challenges every limit with timepieces created to exceed expectations, engineered with superior style and innovative technology for the sea, sky or land. Part of a rich legacy of innovation in high-intensity timekeeping, Prospex continues to celebrate a long history of sports watch expertise with re-creations and re-interpretations of landmark achievements. This extraordinary timepiece, re-interpreting Seiko’s landmark 1968 diver’s watch, showcases the brand’s first mechanical GMT movement in a diver’s watch, caliber 6R54. Providing a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, the longest of any Seiko mechanical watch, this 24-jewel automatic GMT movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers manual winding capability. The GMT hand can be set independently in one-hour increments, without interrupting the time-of-day hands, providing a second time zone reading at a glance. Framed by a Made-in-Japan green ceramic uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel with knurled edge for enhanced operability, the rich green dial features a date calendar, gold GMT hand, and large LumiBrite markers and hands for enhanced legibility. Crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, with an upgraded water resistance of 300 meters, this superbly functional timepiece includes an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, screwdown crown and caseback, sporty three-link bracelet, and a slide adjuster clasp for the perfect fit.
